Waste Land Design's products are made from 100% reclaimed Western Red Cedar, Redwood and various species of pine and fir. The patina is original to that of the wood we salvage. Colors range from various tones of naturally weathered wood (no paints or stains) to reds and browns to greens, grays, blues and white. Nail holes, knots and other characteristic marks are considered natural design elements in our reclaimed wood products. There is a 5 year warranty on all products.

Redwood Vase:

Available in 3 sizes - the petite 7 inch, the medium 9 inch and the larger 14 inch Redwood vase. Add fresh cut flowers or a dried flower arrangement to accent any room in your home or work place. Two coats of water-based polyurethane have been applied for protection from stains and to bring out a richer patina.

You will notice that there are color choices on these redwood vases. That is because they are made from recycled wood sources - some of which had been painted. So the non-redwood color choices are vases made from previously painted and weathered redwood.

Redwood Coaster:

Each of these solid Redwood Coasters is a unique slice of natural history. Two coats of water-based polyurethane has been applied to protect the surface from stains and to bring out a richer patina.

Bird House:

These sturdy bird houses are made to last using naturally weather resistant cedar boards fastened with weather resistant screws. The houses have easy access to cleaning and checking on checking on nest broods through a side-opening panel. The boxes are ventilated with a provision in the floor for drainage. The back board is predrilled for easy mounting.

The nest hole opening has a diameter of 1 1/2" - the proper size for most desirable box nesting birds, including bluebirds, wrens, chickadees, flycatchers, etc. but small enough to exclude undesirables like starlings.

Note: nest boxes should be cleaned out in the late Fall and left open until early Spring (prior to the arrival of bluebirds) to prevent mice from moving in and soiling the boxes during the Winter months.
